Oswego led the majority of the game, but Naperville North made it interesting late. Oswego held on to win 64-56. Now let’s dive into our Most Intriguing Prospects: Oswego vs Naperville North!
Kobe Adams (Oswego – 2020)
Adams had his breakout game on Friday night in the championship game. The senior shooting guard is a scoring wing that loves to slash to the rack. He did that over and over again which opened up his mid-range game. Adams is a lethal shooter from 15-18 feet. Was automatic from mid-range all night long. This is definitely a sleeper prospect that small colleges need to get on ASAP. Went for 23 points.
Connor McCance (Oswego – 2020 – Northern Michigan)
McCance has tremendous size and raw strength inside at the center position. The D2 commit is at his best when he gets the ball deep on the block and can make a quick move for a score. McCance unfortunately didn’t get a ton of touches in this game. Best move was on a high/low pass where he sealed his man off for a score. The rest of his damage came on the offensive glass with put backs. He had 9 points and a good number of rebounds. Like his ability defensively anchoring inside and walling up as a shot blocker.
Jack Kahoun (Oswego – 2020 – Trinity International)
Kahoun was quiet for most of the game, but came alive late. Earlier in the game his first points came on a three he banked in from the wing while being guarded with a box and one. Had a terrific coast to coast take for a bucket as well. Was more of a distributor in this game as he is a crisp passer. Finished with 8 points.
Brady Peterlin (Oswego – 2021)
Peterlin made some key baskets throughout the night especially from behind the arc. The shooting guard is a plus spot up shooter who had 12 points.
Joey Niesman (Oswego – 2020)
Niesman is a sharp shooter from Oswego that drilled several triples in this game. Also a quality free throw shooter. Recorded 10 points.
Grant Johnson (Naperville North – 2021)
Johnson is a new age face up four man. He has mobility and versatility at the power forward spot to play at the next level. Did a nice job against a much bigger McCance defensively holding his own on that end. Offensively he had several nice cuts to the basket away from the ball for layups and dunks. One was an impressive alley-oop off an out of bounds play. Finished well through contact and got to the line for 13 points.
Zeke Williams (Naperville North – 2022)
Williams is a sophomore combo guard that brings athleticism and energy in the backcourt. Athletic slasher that also showed some perimeter skill as well hitting a baseline J along with a corner three for 11 points.
Riley Thompson (Naperville North)
Thompson opened the game strong with his perimeter shooting. Plus shooter off the catch. Went for 12 points.
Lium Kim (Naperville North – 2021)
Kim only scored 4 points, but we liked what the crafty lefty brought to the table. Quality passer that made sound reads in the half court all night long.
Peter Krebs (Naperville North – 2021)
Krebs is a scrappy guard that scored on back cuts and hit a three. Seemed to always be around the basketball. He had 11 points.
