They got a big early season test against Goodyear Millennium out of Arizona at the Kevin Brown Memorial Tournament of Champions. Goodyear jumped out early and controlled it almost the entire game winning by a final of 71-50. Here we dive into the Most Interesting Prospects: Lincoln Park vs Goodyear Millennium.
DaRon Holmes (Goodyear Millennium, AZ – 2021)
Holmes is a 6’9” new age power forward that fits today’s game perfectly. The high-major recruit has tremendous mobility in the paint on both ends of the floor. Offensively he is quick around the hoop on the offensive glass and has the ability to maneuver in tight spaces to get his shot off. The long and lanky four man has bounce off the floor and can stretch the D with a mid-range shot. Was impressed with how hard he ran the floor in transition. Defensively he protected the rim with his length and explosive second jump. Went for 20 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 blocks.
Robby DeVries (Goodyear Millennium, AZ – 2020)
DeVries is a 6’4” wing that has a crafty game. The big guard with length scored in a variety of ways. Clean release on his three point shot and had a couple nifty finishes in the lane on runners. Finishes with 14 points.
Justus Jackson (Goodyear Millennium, AZ – 2021)
Jackson stands at 6’1” and this junior point guard has a silky smooth game! He got in the lane with ease where he either scored at the rim or dished to teammates for open shots. Many of them were dump off passes when the big man came over to help. Feel for the game is at a high level. Should be a mid-major priority on the west coast. He had 8 points.
Jalan Early (Goodyear Millennium, AZ – 2020)
Early is a tough glue guy for this squad. The 6’4” thick bodied wing gets to the foul line at a nice clip. Plays so physical with the ball in his hands. Went for 10 points.
Ismail Habib (Lincoln Park – 2021)
Despite the loss it was a big night for Habib. The undersized lead guard is super athletic in tight spaces with the rock in his hands. Got to the line throughout the game including several and-1s. His three point shot was on point early in the contest drilling multiple deep pull ups. Another aspect that we like about his game is for his height he rebounds very well being willing to stick his nose in among the trees for boards. He went for 22 points and 9 rebounds.
Julio Montes (Lincoln Park – 2021)
Montes is a 5’9” point guard that started off hot hitting a floater and a baseline jumper. He wasn’t super assertive the rest of the night. Did have several solid passes. Decent passing feel for the Lincoln Park guard.
Miles McGee (Lincoln Park – 2021)
McGee put his name on our radar with his play. Active 6’2” junior two guard that seemed to always be around the basketball especially in the paint making plays on his way to 10 points.
Keshawn Smith (Lincoln Park – 2021)
Smith is another new prospect that emerged in his time on the floor. The 6’0” 2021 guard has a clean looking shot that he hit from both mid-range and three.
