Teams will look different this year because of graduation and transfers. It will still be strong regardless. Here are some of the top players in the conference for the 2019-2020 season.
Mark Armstrong (2022) | 6’2 PG | St. Peter’s Prep
Armstrong was a standout freshman last season in conference. St. Peter’s Prep is a top notch program and Armstrong is the next big thing. He scored over 400 points in his first season. He scored in double-figures in the final 13 games of the season. If you see that kind of success as a freshman then it can only get better moving forward. That is a scary thought for opponents.
Justin Glover (2021) | 6’2 SG | Hudson Catholic
Glover is one of the fastest rising players in New Jersey. He will enter his junior season as one of the top players in his class. As a sophomore, Glover excelled in all areas offensively but especially from the three-point line. Hudson Catholic lost some key players from last season but Glover is still there and will be a big part of the team’s success this season.
Mike Jackson (2021) | 6’2 PG | Marist
Jackson is one of the lightning quick guards in the conference. he was a consistent scorer who alwasy made the right decisions when he stepped on the floor. Jackson is a great passer and leader at the point guard position. Marist has an advantage at the position because of Jackson’s basketball IQ and ability.
Toriano Munford (2021) | 6’5 SF | Lincoln
Lincoln had a sophomore breakout last season. Munford burst onto the scene as a scorer and rebounder. In a big win over Ferris, Munford scored 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the win. This was a coming out game for him and he has been a stud ever since. With all the size and strength, Munford can dominate the competition for another two seasons in high school.
