2020 Guard out of Male High School, Howard Fleming Jr., has committed to Illinois State University. Fleming is currently ranked 8th in the state of Kentucky (PrepHoops).

Two weeks ago, Fleming cut his college list to 3 schools before making his decision. Those 3 schools were: Wyoming, Austin Peay, & Illinois State. He also had offers from Eastern Kentucky, Murray State, Northern Kentucky, Jacksonville State, Kent State, Missouri State, and Florida International. He decided to go with the excellent coaching staff at Illinois State, which is starting the year off with a 2-1 record (1st in Missouri Valley Conference).

Fleming has great size for his position listed at 6'5". His athleticism and long arms allow him to defend and rebound at a very high level for a guard. He has the ability to run the floor and find the open man with ease. Whether it be a normal chest/bounce pass or if he wants to bring out his inner Magic Johnson, and hit the defenders with a no-look pass. During his junior year, he averaged 12.3 points per game, 6.7 rebounds per game, and shot around 46% from the field. The Male Bulldogs ended with a record of 22-10.
