10 of some of the best prep teams which included one from Canada, one from Minnesota plus 8 other teams from AZ (4), CA (3) and NV (1).
Here were some of the junior standouts:
Arthur Kaluma PF 6’7 Dream City Christian (AZ)
-A very unique player who consistently tries to make others better and is an outstanding defender. He is extremely strong to get downhill and absorbs contact with his thick body and scores it. His timing to block shots and rebound are at a high level. His length, toughness and his passing skills make him an attractive prospect.
Alex Tchikou F 6’10 Dream City Christian (AZ)
-A long and explosive forward is just scratching the surface. He can straight line drive and can occasionally in-and-out dribble to go by his defender and finish. He can hit a catch 3 and moves well in space. Has to keep filling in and improving but makes many wow plays per game.
Frank Anselem PF 6’10 Prolific Prep (CA)
-Fluid big man is very good defensively. Explosive athlete rebounds out of area and can score it with his back to the basket. He is super long and will rebound and block shots. The Nigerian has a lot of upside.
Fallou Cisse SF/PF 6’7 Prolific Prep (CA)
-One of the better forward defenders in space. He guarded essentially the 1-5 vs every team they played. Boxes out well, moves his feet quick laterally and seems to be on the ground diving for the ball half the game. Can explode off the ground and dunk the ball in traffic. He can occasionally face-up from elbow and in.
Lamin Sabally SF 6’6 Bella Vista Prep (AZ)
-A super long wing who takes long strides into the lane. A terrific rebounder and defender. He blocks shots out of his area. Despite being thin he rebounds inside well with athleticism and crazy length. He has improved his 3pt shot off the catch over the last few weeks.
Brett Hardt Jr CG 6’2 PHH Prep (AZ)
-Great feel for the game is really finding his grove as a player. Improving rapidly the last month. His ability to change speeds and read his defenders is really working for him. His catch shots from deep are clean and his pull-up off the dribble is becoming a weapon.
