Micah Peavy | Duncanville | 2020 | 6’7 | G
Micah Peavy, 6A championship MVP, showed exactly why he deserves that title. His ability to score from all three levels, as well as thriving in transition shows why he is one of the top players in Texas. Unselfish with the ball and willing to let his teammates shine, Peavy becomes even more of a threat on the offensive end to make a difference.
Latrell Jossell | Keller Central | 2020 | 5’11 | G
If there was one word to describe Jossell’s game this past Saturday, confidence would be it. His game was filled with swagger and but he put in all the effort expected from him. Hustling on both ends of the court and taking no possessions off, Jossell used his quickness to explode off of screens and get to the hole and score.
Sam Godwin | Southmoore | 2020 | 6’7 | F
Coming off an ankle sprain, Godwin looked 100% and played just like it too. The Wofford commit finished with great touch around the rim and also stepping outside behind the three-point line and knocked it down. Expect his presence in the paint to be felt in 6A Oklahoma basketball and help Southmoore
Jarrett Grisham | OKC Storm | 2022 | 6’1 | G
Grisham came out firing today and put on a show! Shooting 4 of 5 from three in the first half of OKC Storm’s second matchup of the day, he had no hesitation ad shot with confidence. Grisham showed a great understanding of reading his defender off of a screen, making a curl, flare or back cut when needed.
Will Hill | Tulsa Memorial | 2020 | 6’0 | G
Hill played downhill all game, never letting his foot off the gas. He attacked the basket and either finished through contact or got to the line. Hill also knocked down the three-ball consistently, forcing the defense to close out strong and giving him a lane to attack. Look for him to be a key factor for this Memorial team.
Bryce Thompson | Booker T. Washington | 2020 | 6’4 | G
Once again, Thompson showed off an elite ability to score, especially through contact. His ability to improvise and adapt to a defense in a single moment separates him from everyone in the gym. His first step has also become more explosive since the beginning of the summer, something that will prove to be essential at the next level.
