6. Giancarlo Valdez, 6’3 CG, Decatur Heritage: The crafty and confident combo guard is poised for a dominant senior. He is a lot more athletic than some may think and is hard to guard when attacking the basket. His best asset may be his tenacity on the defensive end. He has improved as a shooter but could benefit by being even more aggressive on the offensive end of the floor. We look for offers to roll in as the season goes along.
7. Jadan Coleman. 6’4 SG, Bob Jones: The Tulane signee is the definition of a shooter. He has a very quick release and with his size can get his shot off even with a hand in his face. He had a really big travel season on the EYBL circuit with the Alabama Fusion showing that was he not only a spot-up shooter but a guy who can put the ball on the floor and get to his spots and score at the rim. Look for some big numbers from Mr. Coleman this season for Bob Jones.
8. Tommy Murr, 6’1 CG, Lindsey Lane: Scorer. He can shoot the ball consistently with range. You have to guard him from the time he gets off the bus. Some were skeptical on his level but with a very good travel season running with the EYBL Alabama Fusion. His big spring and summer resulted in him choosing to continue his career at Lipscomb University. He has already scored over 4,000 points in his career and looks to up that number as he dropped 48 points just last week in an early-season game.
9. Kam Woods, 5’11 PG, Pinson Valley: Dynamic player with the ball in his hand. He has played a lot of high-level basketball and he can shoot it with range. Needs to work on shot selection and on-ball defense and willingness to defend. Volume shooter that can put up 40 effortlessly on a nightly basis. Underrated passer and playmaker. Legit Mid-major prospect who recently this week picked up an offer from Troy University.
10. Trey Bonham, 5’11 PG, UMS-Wright: A true point guard and playmaker. Has the ability to score the basketball at all 3 levels and run a team. Had really good offensive instincts, however, he needs to really dedicate himself to the weight room in order to withstand the workload from the lead guard position on both ends of the floor. Look for him to have really big numbers as he leads UMS-Wright this season.
