Panther Creek should be an early favorite
One early favorite to win the Triangle 8 Conference should be the Panther Creek Catamounts. They lost Justin McKoy but they still have junior guard Daylen Berry as well as new addition 2020 guard Armond Muldrew. They’re a backcourt duo that should carry Panther Creek deep into the postseason.
Green Hope has a nice core of players
The Green Hope Falcons are another team that shouldn’t be taken lightly in the Triangle 8 Conference. They’ve got senior guard Teddy Rasmussen and junior guard Reese Evans in the backcourt and 2021 forwards Tre Morgan and Broderick Ellis Jr. in the frontcourt. With some depth to rely on this season, it will be interesting to see how Green Hope performs by the time conference play arrives.
Athens Drive boasts a tough rotation
The Athens Drive Jaguars will be a tough squad led by A.J. Thompson, Jonah Milchuck, Brandon Spruill and Brandon Poggioli. There’s a ton of senior experience in the 2019-20 rotation which makes the defending conference champions another tough squad this season. They’ll be a solid group once again barring injury or other circumstances.
The Triangle 8 expansion
With the additions of Green Level High School and Hillside, the conference has now expanded to the Triangle 8. Hillside is a team that went 28-2 this past season and 13-1 in the Big 8 Conference. With these two teams adding into the talent pool, it will be interesting to see how they adjust to the conference in 2019-20.
