Who are the early favorites?
With one less team in the Northern Carolina Conference now, who will come out on top? The South Granville Vikings and Granville Central Panthers will battle it out at the top, but will they have any other challengers? The Bunn Wildcats and Louisburg Warriors are sure to challenge them at the top as well. It should be a fun season.
South Granville is deep
The South Granville Vikings will be one tough team to face in conference play this season. They’re led by junior guard Bobby Pettiford Jr. but with the trio of seniors in Wy’Kise Allen, Micah Jones and Kobe Jones, they’ll be fun to watch in 2019-20 as an overall group.
The Dynamic Duo in Granville Central
Terence Harcum Jr. and Jamari Mann were quite the backcourt duo in 2018-19 and this season, they’ll need to be better than ever to pace their squad in more ways than one. It will be interesting to see how they perform in conference action this season.
Don’t Sleep on Louisburg’s Do-It-All Guard
Elijah Jamison is an emerging combo guard that can fill it up, rebound the ball and defend at a high level for the Louisburg Warriors. He’s an emerging breakout prospect in the 2021 class with tons of ability in the Northern Carolina Conference.
