Caleb Love 6’3″ CBC: One of the best guards in the country, the North Carolina commit played a very controlled game where he picked his spots to get buckets while keeping his teammates involved. While there were some ambitious defenders who were really trying to challenge him, he swatted them down rather easily with his ability to score at all three levels.
Sofara Rasas 6’3″ St. Mary’s: An impressive slashing athlete who was at it best when he was attacking the basket. He had three impressive dunks in transition in the Dragons’ first game. He plays the game under control and doesn’t try to force things. When he decides to go, he has the ability to finish in traffic with his slick moves and physical strength.
Torhez Simms 6’2″ Hazelwood East: The talented wing has the ability to put up a lot of points in a hurry when he is on his game. The smooth lefty is an excellent shooter from 3-point range who runs in transition and moves without the ball to get into position to shoot. He also has a nice little float game in the lane when he goes off the dribble.
Justin Smith 5’11” CBC: A quicksilver lefty point guard who will be a valuable asset for the Cadets at both ends of the court. He is an excellent on-ball defender who operates well in the Cadets’ pressure defense. He is a talented offensive player who can finish well off dribble penetration and knock down open 3-pointers.
Jordan Gilmore 6’4″ Hazelwood East: A solid wing player with good size and a very nice shoot from 3-point range. He can dial it up from long distance and can knock it down off the dribble. He has some solid moves off the dribble as he hit a few mid-range jumpers where he just rose and shot over smaller defenders. He also had some good finishes at the basket.
Noah Hamilton 5’8″ St. Mary’s: A quick and an aggressive point guard who is very fearless at both ends of the court. He is a super pest on defense as he will pick up his man in the backcourt and harass him with excellent on-ball defense. He makes opposing ball handlers very uncomfortable. He is a solid floor general who did a nice job of setting up his teammates.
