Georgetown sent two assistant coaches to the game as an assistant from UNC Greensboro and Hampden-Sydney were also spotted. Below are three takeaways from the game.
Terrance Williams Dominates
It seems like Terrance has been playing in the WCAC forever and now during his senior year he looks as dominant as ever. Last night he showed the total package on both sides of the ball. He was magnificent from three point range, hitting five triples with a few of them being really deep. He was all over the boards finishing with 8 rebounds and continued to hit tough shots around the rim on defenders that we have seen him do for years now. Two of his future assistant coaches from Georgetown were in attendance and they must of been extremely pleased with what they saw.
David Brown Looks Ready For The WCAC
One of the big transfers that happened this offseason was Bishop McNamara landing 2021 David Brown. Last night he had a solid debut finishing with 10 points as the Mustangs only finished with 49. He was extremely crafty around the rim and was not afraid to go up against bigger defenders and finished nicely through contact.
Josiah Hardy Continues To Show Improvement
I continue to be impressed with the improvement 2020 unsigned senior Josiah Hardy has been showing in this early season. He is more active and vocal than I have ever seen him be and is playing with extreme confidence. He had six rebounds and hit a nice midrange from the elbow in Gonzaga’s win. He is a smart player that plays extremely hard which should only boost his recruitment as his senior season continues to roll on.
