Glenn was a nice surprise from the Bixby team that played well this weekend. He is a dominant player with a lot of athleticism. He plays fast but in control. He has a lot of confidence in his game and it shows when he is constantly knocking down shots. He is good at attacking the basket, but can also step out to the perimeter and knock down jump shots. Glenn will be a fun player to watch as the season and he progresses.
Parker Frederickson 2023 Bixby Guard
Frederickson was a bright spot for Bixby off the bench. He provided a nice depth with his shooting from the perimeter. He knocked down nice shots from behind the arc. He always seemed to find the open spot in the offense and was able to get his shots off with ease. Frederickson did not seem to play like a freshman either. He was controlled and confident and showed a lot more maturity on the court.
Jake Gendron 2021 Bishop Kelley Guard
Gendron was the best player this weekend for this Bishop Kelley team. He played with athleticism and pace. He showed off a nice ability to score the ball from both the mid-range and behind the arc. He is able to create shots with his ability to get open and beat his man.
Trey Phipps 2020 Booker T. Washington Guard
Phipps is the best shooter in the state of Oklahoma, maybe even the country. If he pulls up the crowd just expects it to go in. He creates his own shots and works hard on both sides of the ball. Playing with Bryce Thompson helps him get better shots because often times Thompson draws extra interest and Phipps benefits from it. Phipps has “in the gym” range.
Bryce Thompson 2020 Booker T. Washington Guard
Thompson is the best player in the state by far. His game is complete and shooting is just one of those aspects. He can pull up with a hand in his face and drain it. He has the length to shoot over anyone who is going to guard him from the perimeter. He will be a nightmare for any team that has to guard both him and Trey Phipps.
Grant Gessert 2021 Metro Christian Guard
Gessert is a good guard for the Patriots. He is a solid shooter with good range. His range gives Metro a chance to space the floor and gives them a lot of options from deep.
Aaron Potter 2022 Owasso Guard
Potter was the best player for Owasso this weekend. He was all over the court working hard for his team. He was more than just a shooter, he was a scorer. He could slash to the basket and finish at the rim or step out to the perimeter and knock down the shot. He was very accurate from beyond the arc this past weekend.
Jordan Thompson 2020 Southmoore Guard
Thompson took on the scoring load for Southmoore this weekend with Sam Godwin being out with a lower leg injury. Thompson showed he can score at all three levels with his ability to make his own shot. He was a great shooter of the three-ball today and Southmoore will be really good when they get Godwin back to compliment Thompson with scoring.
Jack Spanier 2020 Heritage Hall Guard
Spanier is a solid shooter. He is always in the right spot when Heritage Hall runs their offense and often times he finds the open spot on the court for a shot. Spanier is a smaller guard so he needs to be able to create space to get off his shot but with his knack to get open it does not seem like it will be a problem.
