It was a Prep School tourney only with 25 different teams from players around the country and globally.
It was a 3-day event with many high level games.
Here were some of the seniors that stood out:
Chance McMillan PG 6’2 Golden State Prep Black
–GCU commit is a scoring lead guard. He can pull-up off the dribble and shifty enough to get past his defender. He is currently a little thin but has a tight handle and changes speeds and directions quickly. He looks to be a nice backup to Jovan Blacksher.
Seryee Lewis PF 6’7 AZ Compass Prep
-Burly inside forward just does his job. He isn’t ever overly flashy but rebounds at a high level in and out of his area and scores it efficiently inside. His motor, toughness and will to compete shine through in every game played.
Malcolm Steadman W 6’5 Golden State Prep Grey (Pictured)
-Long and lean scoring wing. The lefty has a sweet stroke from the 3pt line. He takes long strides in the lane getting to the cup in very few steps. He plays the passing lanes really well but sometimes gambles. He was very active in all the games on defense showing a good motor.
Anton Jansson C 6’10 Golden State Prep Grey (Pictured)
-A big and skilled face-up 5-man with good length. He works well inside the paint plus can shoot it to the 3pt line. He plays a cerebral game and had many good moments over the weekend. The Sweden born player verbally committed to Saint Joseph’s on Friday. He chose St. Joe’s over Oregon State.
Jabari Walker PF 6’7 180 AZ Compass Prep
-Long forward with good hands. Finishes at a high percentage inside the paint. He is starting to block some shots in the paint which wasn’t usually his stronger part of his game. He can step out and hit 3’s and moves fluidly around the court. The son of Samaki Walker has a bright future.
Peter Filipovity SG 6’6 Bella Vista Prep
-A bigger guard who has a nice 3-ball plus uses the floater well and can spin in the lane to create own shot. He rebounds well in traffic and is sneaky athletic. He threw down in traffic high above the rim surprising many. The Hungary born player has a very high IQ and his handle, skill and passing ability make him a nice prospect.
