Evan Nelson 6’2 2020 G Salpointe Catholic
Evan Nelson is a straight hooper! The kid can do it all and is a huge threat on offense. He can shoot the ball from deep for sure but I think he is best getting to the basket. He has nice dribble moves and is very quick, this makes it hard to guard him on the perimeter. Once he’s at the rim, he has the creativity and athleticism to finish over or around anybody.
Ty Ty Washington 6’3 2021 G Cesar Chavez
Ty Ty is my vote for best overall scorer in the state. I don’t know how you guard this guy. He may be the best 3 point shooter in the state and is ridiculously hard to stop from getting to the basket as well. Pick your poison.
Alem Huseinovic 6’3 2020 G PHH Prep
Huseinovic is more skilled as a shooter but that opens the window for drives. Huseinovic is one of the best 3 point shooters in the state. This causes defenders to play up tight on him, which allows Alem opportunities to get to the basket. Alem has a very nice floater and can get crafty with his finishes.
DaRon Holmes 6’9 2021 F Millennium
Holmes is an ultimate freak athlete and is very skilled as well. That combination is dangerous! He has really improved his shooting to where you have to guard him from 3 and is a knock down mid-range shooter. Holmes also has nice low post moves and drives the ball well. Holmes is also a nightmare in transition due to his size and speed.
