During recent weeks, we’ve been previewing conferences and regions around the DMV respectively. Here is a closer look at eight players to watch in Northern Virginia this year.
ANGELO BRIZZI | 6’2 G | HIGHLAND ’21
Brizzi, considered as one of the top guards in the local 2021 class, is a unique offensive talent when you consider his ability to shoot from virtually anywhere inside half court. Look for the emerging southpaw sharpshooter to assert himself on a nightly basis.
This weekend there was a lot of talent on display at our annual HS Fall Showcase, Here’s a few guys that really stood out to me that I got to see:
Most Outstanding Players:

JOE DAGBE | 5’10 G | SOUTH LAKES ’20
A star on the gridiron, Dagbe can also get the job done on the hardwood. The dynamic guard was one of the most exciting players to watch in Northern Virginia last season and this year should be no different.
Who could forget this game-winner from @SLSeahawksBball's Joe Dagbe. A beautiful corner three for a walk-off win. pic.twitter.com/hoV6MHU5LQ

TRENT DAWSON | 6’0 G | LOUDOUN VALLEY ’20
Dawson is a reliable playmaker and a proven scorer who has won a state championship, been named first-team all-state, district and region player of the year. He will be legit a threat to go for 10+ points and 10+ assists each time he hits the court.
JADEN HOUSE | 6’3 G | MIDDLEBURG ACADEMY ’21
House, a newcomer to this area, is a very good athlete who gets downhill aggressively and scores in bunches. There will be plenty of opportunity for him to produce for the Dragons.

ANTHONY REYES | 5’10 G | WASHINGTON-LIBERTY ’20
Reyes has quietly established himself as one of the most feared shooters in Northern Virginia. Is he officially ready to break out?
TYLER SAVAGE | 6’3 W | CHAMPE ’20
Savage, an ECU football commit, is also known for his achievements on the court. A good athlete with a strong build and impressive court vision, he is a confident shooter from three who could find himself among the area’s top scorers this season.
Congratulations to Tyler Savage on scoring his 1000th point for John Champe HS. Tyler is the 4th player to score 1000 points in Champe history. He is the first player to reach the mark as a junior. Tyler led the Knights with 27 points in a victory over Freedom HS. pic.twitter.com/PmgEHzVpIh

KEVIN SIAKAM | 6’9 C | VERITAS COLLEGIATE ’20
Another newcomer to this area, Siakam possesses an intriguing blend of size and athleticism to go along with a tireless motor. He is surely a must-see prospect for those who are unfamiliar with his ability.
DJ SLAUGHTER | 6’0 G | JOHN PAUL ’20
Slaughter has put in a ton of work to improve his body this offseason, and the results have been evident throughout the past several weeks. He appears primed for a true breakout season.
