I’ll be naming the players who I think are the best overall scorers, not the best shooters. I’m talking about the kids who can go out and drop 20-30 any given night.
Osasere Ighodaro 6’9 2020 F Desert Vista
Osasere should see huge scoring numbers this season. Osasere is a nightmare in transition and should get a ton of points off the break due to his overall size, speed, and athleticism. In the half court game, Osasere is tough to stop when he rips and attacks off of a wing. Osasere also has a solid post game.
Evan Nelson 6’3 2020 G Salpointe Catholic
Nelson is one of the best scorers in the state. The kid is simply unguardable. He is very fast and has a high IQ. He uses his intelligence to assess a defender/how they are playing him and then he takes advantage of them. Nelson looks like he’s playing on another level and Nelson can score in a number of ways.
Xavier Dusell 6’4 2020 G AZ Compass Prep
Xavier Dusell is another pure scorer. Dusell is one of the most reliable three point shooters in the state but he is much more than that. Many people think of him as just a shooter but Dusell can create a little bit and get his own shot. He can take it to the basket or shoot from virtually anywhere on the court.
Alem Huseinovic 6’3 2020 G PHH Prep
Alem would be my pick as the best 3 point shooter in the state. Huseinovic is unreal from deep. He is also a very good driver and finisher and always looks to score. I think the excellent three point shooting is just the icing on the cake when it comes to his scoring ability.
