MJ Warrior 2020 Putnam City West guard
MJ WarriorMJ Warrior’s game has transformed as he’s molded his game into that of a point guard’s. On West’s opening game of the day, Warrior recorded an assist on each of the Patriots’ first four buckets. He even entertained a dialogue with himself.
“Good pass, MJ.” – MJ Warrior.
“Another one.” – MJ Warrior.
Damn, great pass.” – MJ Warrior.
Jokes aside, Warrior’s ability to flick the ball to his teammates in movement is a testament to his skill and the effort he’s exercised in adjusting to his new role in West’s offense.

Rondel Walker 2020 Putnam City West guard
Rondel WalkerRondel Walker was his usual self last weekend, distributing the ball efficiently among his teammates. Coming off his five-assist-a-game junior season, Walker’s floor vision has only continued to improve as he enters his finale. The PC West show flows through Walker’s contribution and chemistry with his teammates; few players in the state are as capable as Walker in getting teammates involved and elevating the play of others.
Trey Alexander 2021 Heritage Hall shooting guard
Trey AlexanderTrey Alexander reminded the Oklahoma basketball world last weekend that he’s still in the picture. One aspect of his game that was exceptional last weekend was his floor leadership. Alexander’s vision seems to have improved significantly following his sophomore season; he’s more privy to his teammates’ tendencies and able to make down-court plays than his former self. He’s increasingly akin to his teammates in the half-court, making himself all-the-more threatening with the rock in his possession.
Demontreal Crutchfield 2020 Del City shooting guard (pictured above)
Del City’s Demontreal Crutchfield ran the point for most of the showcase in the absence of teammate Nate Goodlow, who was nursing a nagging ankle injury. Crutchfield was excellent getting his teammates involved, making quick passes and even dishing a couple no-look passes in the game I watched him play. His acquaintance with the positioning of his teammates is indicative of the senior’s leadership and chemistry-building abilities.
