PG Craig Porter (Vincennes – Sophomore)
Porter stands at 6’1” and proved to be one of the best guards in the event. On multiple occasions he went coast to coast with a smooth burst past his defenders. Comes off ball screens and attacks. Really liked what he brought to the table on the defensive end. Moves feet defensively. Recorded multiple steals which he took the other way for scores or assists.
PG Chuka Mekkam (Vincennes – Sophomore)
Vincennes backup point guard was pretty good as well. Put a ton of defensive pressure on opposing lead guards. Solid pull up jump shooter. Liked what he did as a passer in the open floor.
PG Jalen Johnson (John A Logan – Sophomore)
Johnson is a lefty point guard that is an absolute pit bull on the defensive end of the floor. He was super active with his hands and was a major reason for Logan’s defensive intensity all day! Offensively he made several quick passes and solid decisions with the ball.
PG Jalen Moore (Olney Central – Sophomore)
Moore is a 5’10” sophomore point guard who had a big year last season. Quick and shifty ball handler that handles well in traffic. Scrappy defender. He was just ok in the game we saw and didn’t play in the second one.
PG Kevin Legardy (Mineral Area – Sophomore)
This lead guard was a sound perimeter shooter that made multiple pull up threes. He has a slight hitch in his shot, but they went in on a regular basis.
PG Terrion Murdix (Mineral Area – Freshman)
The former Springfield Southeast product looked the part in his first big time JUCO event. He was a major reason for Mineral Area’s comeback in their first game of the day. Excellent passing feel with crisp dishes while playing with speed. Got to the rim several times with smooth drives. Plays hard on both ends of the floor.
PG Nico Johnson (Kaskaskia – Sophomore)
Johnson is a prospect that we liked in high school out of Danville. He is now a sophomore at Kaskaskia where he ran the show. Pushed the pace although at times he was a little wild. Was best in transition getting to the rim coast to coast.
PG Tyrus Baynham (Tennessee Prep – 2020)
Baynham is a big combo guard that has excellent length. He can play both on and off the ball. Rebounds well for his position. As a scorer he was at his best on straight line drives where he consistently blew past his opponent.
PG Juston Johnson (Tennessee Prep – 2020)
Johnson is a quick and shifty point guard that has a crisp jumper which he displayed hitting from the corners off the catch and had a slick step back.
