The class of 2022 in North Carolina is quite the loaded one, especially in the Top 10. With a few prospects already drawing Division I interest, it’s already turning into an intriguing class.
Top 10 Breakdown
The 2022 class finally has it’s own rankings. Building off last year’s watch list, some prospects developed into top prospects while others still have work to do. It was a tough choice but Jaden Bradley currently holds the top spot with M.J. Rice coming in at second. A new face in the rankings is Po’Boigh King, who is now at Word of God Christian Academy and a member of the 2022 class. There’s some versatility with this class in the Top 10 at the forward spot with #4 DeAnte Green and #7 Asa White. #9 ranked Kheni Briggs is a high-flyer to keep an eye on as he continues to develop his game.
Talent all-around in this class
There’s plenty of talent all throughout this class which makes it all the more intriguing to see how this class develops over the next few years.
#15 Khalil Marshall – Word of God: Marshall is another transfer into Word of God Academy that’s due for a big season. He can get after it on both ends and has quite the handling ability for a point guard.
#20 Zaharee Maddox – Davie County: Maddox is a two-sport athlete but he’s already gaining attention from D1 programs in college basketball. He’s a point guard prospect that holds an offer from DePaul.
#29 Davis Molnar – Terry Sanford: Molnar had a productive freshman season on the varsity level and is set to turn a corner for his squad at Terry Sanford at the forward position.
#39 Amari Pearson – Fayetteville Academy: Pearson is an electrifying combo guard that keeps the energy level high in the gym with his ability to play above the rim.
#66 Jayden Nervis – Moravian Prep: Nervis is a 6-foot-4 wing with a 6-foot-7 wingspan. He’s aggressive on both ends and can score on all three levels.
There’s a lot of talent to keep up with and will be even more to keep up with when the list expands from 75 to 100 prospects when the season ends. Be sure to check out the updated rankings!
