We are entering an era of basketball in which just about every player is at least capable of making a three-point shot. That said, there will always be a select few who’s shooting ability is on a different level. I think these four prospects fall into that category. Here are the best shooters from the Texas Top 250 Expo:
Alex Mirhosseini – 2020 5’10 PG (Texas Elite) Arlington Martin – Those of you who have been following the Prep Hoops Circuit know this guy can rise up and throw it down with the best of them. You can see him compete in the PH dunk contest here. What you might not know is that he is also a knock down three-point shooter. Its hand down man down with this guy.
Anthony Romanelli – 2020 5’11 Guard Spring Creek Academy – Romanelli was one of the best three-and-D guards I saw at the Top 250 Expo, emphasis on the three. His off-ball movement is excellent, and he is great in catch and shoot scenarios. He even displayed the ability to hit some contested threes.
Jamyron Keller – 2023 6’0 PG (Urban ASAK 14U) Ellison HS – Keller is another guy who excels at shooting from the catch. The underclassman is already listed on our 2023 watch list, and he backed that up at the Top 250 Expo. Defenders have to respect his ability to convert on the drive, which frees him up to let it fly from behind the arc.
Kaden Shelburne – 2022 6’0 Guard Rockwall HS – This is one of those guys who isn’t afraid to let it rip from anywhere. Shelburne has a pure jump shot. He is a fearless shooter. The sophomore guard can utilize his pull up jumper from mid-range and from deep. He’s virtually automatic when left open.
