Lets look at 6A first:
Cesar Chavez--Everyone knows about Washington and Sarmiento but if freshman Tru Washington can come up big in key moments, the Champions will go far.
Skyline–Like Chavez, Harris and Poeschl get talked about a lot but when they shoot the ball well, they are a tough cover. If soph Dom Capriotti or junior Patrick Herrera can make clutch shots, they will go deep in the playoffs.
Desert Vista–Their wild card may be soph guards Andrew King or newcomer Dasean Lecque. If they hit their perimeter shots, it will be even tougher to guard Solomon and Ighodaro.
Perry–Brennan and Anderson will do serious damage inside but if Christian Tucker and/or Austin Hutchings can keep the defenses honest and hit shots, the Pumas can make a run.
Hamilton—On predominately an all guard team, they need some kind of inside presence for junior forwards Andrew Hinkle and/or Jacob Enriquez to balance out the team.
Brophy Prep–They have a lot of older size but will need soph guards of Miles Nash, Patrick Chew and/or JP Musselman to hit some shots to keep the defenses from packing it in.
Basha–Older guards usually wins you games, which the Bears have, but if their two young bigs of freshman Landon Schumaker and/or soph Brady Reynolds can be a force inside, they can make a deep run.
Mountain Pointe–Juniors Kimbrough Jr. and Williams plus senior Sulka dominated all off-season for them, but how quickly freshman Mark Brown can impact games, may be the reason the Pride go far this season.
