Upper Arlington lost some key pieces but, return some importance. Hilliard Davidson lost some top players, also won’t have Gage Keys as he will early enroll at Minnesota to play football.
First Team:
Jack Christian (2021) | 5-10 PG | Marysville
An overlooked prospect in his own right is Jack Christan. The Monarch’s leader in terms of returning production is Christan. With the ability to shoot with little space, as well as a knockdown shooter off the catch, Christan will once again put up numbers this season. The junior should be solid in the assist to turnover ratio as well as he makes good decisions.
Keaton Turner (2020 | 6-0 PG | Dublin Coffman
Turner is in the best position of maybe anyone on this list. Going from a role playerr to the team’s best player is exactly what the senior is going to do. With a ton of seniors graduating and a transfer, Keaton is now that guy. Turner has a quick pivot that gets defenders off balance and opens his game a bunch. Expect the senior to be amongst the top scorers in the league.
Kalil Camara (2020) | 6-2 WG | Westland
The most athletic player in the league is set for another solid season full of destroying the rim and beating defenders. Losing their top scorer to graduation Westland will have some numbers to replace. Camera could be that guy with his ability to get to the rim off the dribble. Big time vertical allows him to sky for rebounds as well. Excited to watch this one again.
Garrett Taylor (2021) | 6-6 PF | Marysville
Marysville has an underrated junior tandem, Taylor is a part of it. Taylor does a good job of stretching the floor, where a lot of his scoring will come from. Has improved his rebounding, will be a double-double threat for the Monarchs. Positive side one the defensive end as well.
Magnus Entenmann (2021) | 6-8 PF | Upper Arlington
The year of Magnus could be what’s to come for the Golden Bears. A raw talent with a lot of upside, Entenmann will be a huge impact this winter for UA. The junior is going to be a scorer from the inside or outside where he can knockdown shots. Expect him to snatch rebounds as well as block shots too. The modern day power forward definitely has his best basketball ahead of him and that starts this winter.
Second Team:
Ajay Sheldon (2022) | 5-9 PG | Dublin Coffman
Sheldon will have a defined role for the Rocks this season and will be able to give his first true impact as a sophomore. Expect to see him on the floor often, possibly in a starting role. If not, he will be a key role player no doubt. The sophomore gets after it on defense, gets his teammates involved and is a competitor. Also, has the ability to knockdown shots and can score it in bunches. Breakout player to keep an eye on.
Quinn Corna – Upper Arlington
Joey Duke – Marysville
Devon Miller – Central Crossing
Eric Panning – Westland
