Olentangy and Olentangy Liberty both lost a ton, that will need to be replaced. The league will be tough to decide as it’s definitely up in the air.
First Team:
Andre Irvin (2021) | 5-9 PG | Olentangy Orange
Orange lost a lot from their team last season. However, they return Irvin who is ready to be a headache for opposing defenses again. The 5-9 guard can drill it from deep and get to the rim. Expect the Pioneer to be amongst the top of the league in scoring.
Henry Hinkle (2021) | 6-0 G | Olentangy Liberty
The Patriots lost just about everything, besides Henry Hinkle. The junior could be that guy now for them as he has the experience and skill to do so. Hinkle can shoot it from deep, where he’s best at. Also, creating for teammates and bringing toughness to the court. The most improved player could very well be the Liberty guard and it all starts with opportunity!
Noah Lawrence (2022) | 5-10 G | Westerville North
His freshman year he was a solid role player for North, they’ll need more this season though from Lawrence and he’s plenty capable. The sophomore works without the ball and is money off the catch and shoot as well as the midrange game. Noah could be in store for a nice season on both ends of the floor.
Tyler Beckel (2020) | 6-3 WG | Westerville Central
For Westerville Central, Beckel could be that guy this season. A lengthy wing that gets open a ton off the ball and knocks down shots. Not super athletic or anything, but can score it with his size inside as well. A shooter that has size to translate to defense.
Charles Perkins (2020) | 6-4 PF/C | Westerville North
Perkins has showed toughness and a motor on the boards in his high school career. He did both things this summer as well as being a culprit of many putbacks. The senior can play bigger than he is, which helps him rack up the double-doubles. Easy under the radar pick here.
Second Team:
Jaiden Guice – Westerville South
Sam Rankin – Olentangy Orange
Ethan Smith – Olentangy
Ryan Cutler – Olentangy Orange
Kal Jarayaman – Olentangy Liberty
