Westosha Central 2022 shooting guard Jack Rose finds himself as the state’s No. 3 ranked prospect heading into his sophomore season. A blue-collar, tenacious guard with a sweet shooting stroke, Rose has generated a bit of Division 1 interest early on.
Wisconsin was the first to get Rose on campus, hosting the 6-foot-4 guard for an unofficial visit two Saturday’s ago during their home football win over Michigan.
“Madison was really cool, it was definitely an eye-opening experience,” Rose told Prep Hoops Wisconsin. “Camp Randall was really loud. It was a good game to go to for the first visit.
“I like the environment a lot. Growing up, watching the Badgers my whole life, it’s definitely something I was looking forward to. It’s a good campus and great fan base.”
Marquette, North Dakota State, and UW-Green Bay have all been in contact with Rose as well this fall. Rose plans to visit Marquette on Friday.
“They invited me and my family for Midnight Madness,” he said. “I’ll be there around 6:30, meet with some of the coaches, probably tour the campus.”
The Phoenix were the first to express interest in Rose and watched numerous of his games during the Under Armour Finals in July.
“Being the first to look at me is pretty cool,” he said. “That was the first college who went to my games.”
As a freshman, Rose averaged 7.2 points per game for a Falcons squad that posted a 23-2 overall record. Going forward, Rose will be in no rush to make a decision.
“I’m looking at the fan bases, the atmosphere,” he said. “Playing somewhere that really will help me grow as a player and an individual.”
