Grandview High standout guard Reggie Morris gave a verbal commitment to the Air Force Academy earlier this week. The 6’2 Morris is currently the No. 12 rated prospect in the Prep Hoops Missouri Class of 2020 rankings.
Morris picked up his offer from Air Force after an excellent performance at the Midwest Summer Showcase at Liberty North High back in June. He really put on a tremendous shooting exhibition during the two-day showcase event.
Morris has been an instrumental part in Grandview’s back to back Class 4 state championships in 2018 and 2019. As a junior, he averaged 12.9 points and 2.2 steals a game while making 67 3-pointers and shooting 42 percent from 3-point range for the 29-2 Bulldogs.
Mid Missouri standout Eric Northweather of Blair Oaks has given a commitment to Truman State University of the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The 6’8” Northweather is a multi-skilled forward who led the Falcons to the Class 3 state quarterfinals last season. As a junior, Northweather averaged 18 points and eight rebounds a game in leading Blair Oaks to a 24-6 record.
