Brandon Ellington Brandon Ellington 6'6" | PF Cardinal Ritter | 2020 State MO 6’6″ Cardinal Ritter (’20): The most explosive player I watched during the day, Ellington was dunking everything in scoring 30 points in his semifinal game. The athletic lefty plays with a high motor at both ends and did a nice job scoring and rebounding with great zeal. He has an excellent second jump for offensive putbacks and he can get out and run the court.
Matt Enright 5’9″ Webster Groves (’22): The young guard they call “Matty Ice” scored 19 points in the semifinals. He is a savvy guard who can really knock down shots from 3-point distance. If you give the lefty a little room, he can drain jumpers from out to 25 feet. He also has some nice moves to get into the lane to make floaters to compliment his long distance shooting.
Demarcus Sanford Jr Demarcus Sanford Jr 6'2" | PG St. Louis Christian | 2021 State MO 6’2″ Lift for Life (’21): A long and athletic point guard who made some big plays down the stretch as his team rallied from a 21-point deficit to force double overtime. He made a couple of big 3-pointers late in the game and also made a couple of nice passes to open teammates off dribble penetration.
Rio Dujmovic 6’6″ Granite City (’20): A solid post player who plays an old school game in the paint that is very effective. He is strong and he uses his body well around the basket to get buckets in the post. His footwork is good and he knows how to get himself into the right position.
Cleveland Washington 6’2″ Lutheran North (’21): A tough, junkyard dog type of wing player that any coach would love to have on his team. He plays with great effort and energy on both ends of the court. He is a strong rebounder who will go into the land of the trees to get boards and he plays solid defense and gets to loose balls. He plays bigger than his actual size because of his effort.
Enrico Tankins 5’8″ Cardinal Ritter (’23): A tough little point guard who is just entering the high school ranks. He is physical with the ball and scored on some nice takes to the basket as he scored nine points. He also knocked down an open 3-pointer. He has a high basketball IQ and a good future ahead of him.
Will Eastlund 6’4″ Summit (’21): A solid young post player who did a good job of staying in his lane throughout the game. He gathered his share of rebounds and scored on an offensive put back. He gave a good effort at both ends of the floor.
