At 6’6, Hawk is a versatile defender who plays a fast paced game, can finish at the rim and can shoot from the perimeter. He can block shots and defend on the perimeter.
He says competing on the summer circuit helped prepare him for the upcoming season at Valley Falls.
“Playing for my summer team was good, we played fast pace which I like,” he says. “It has prepared me a lot for school ball because it is such good competition.”
A fan of former NBA stars Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, Hawks says he has spent much of the offseason working on his ball handling, jump shot and quickness.
He says his dad has had the biggest influence on his basketball career to date.
“He is always pushing me to get better and don’t give up and always do the extra if you want to make it,” Hawk said.
Hawk says he has heard from York College and Pittsburg State where he was invited to attend camps.
