Canty is a talented prospect with a very high ceiling. He’s just hitting the tip of the iceberg in regards to his wealth of potential. Canty’s work with trainer Jalen Bouma has helped him see great growth in his game recently. He is a silky smooth athlete with a college ready frame. Canty can attack the rim and finish with force. He’s an excellent defender with his size and solid footwork. Canty seems to see the entire court and almost anticipate the action.
Canty knows that improvement and experience will play a big part in determining his future in the game of basketball. He’s curremtly focused on improving his shooting. Canty already keeps a solid base on his jumper, so with some minor adjustments, improvement seems inevitable. He’s anticipating a key rivalry matchup with Canton High School next season. “I would have to say my best moment in basketball so far is when I attended Madonna University’s basketball camp and hit the game winning 3 point shot worth 31 points in shark tank to help my team win for the first time in fifty years,” said Canty.
Ben Canty should see his recruitment pick up steam during the coming season. He’s skilled and athletic, but he brings much more than that to the table. Canty will provide a college coach with a player that goes about the game with passion and pride. He practices with a sense of urgency and he cares deeply about his teams performance.
Canty is focused on accomplishing his goals. He wants to average 20+ points per game this coming season. Most importantly, Canty has his sights set on bringing home a championship to Salem High School. Canty is not afraid to shoot for the stars. He doesn’t just want to make it to the NBA, but he wants to be the MVP. In the future, he wants pass his knowledge of the game of basketball, and life in general, to the next generation. Canty is determined to “be an impactful human being on this earth.”
Ben Canty is on the verge of big things in the game of basketball and beyond. He’s motivated to be successful in all aspects of life.
“My greatest motivation is my Mom. She has always told me to shoot past the stars because there is no limitations on where you can go.
