Jon Boyer, 6’7, F, 2020, Olathe South
A standout on the floor with an obvious height advantage inside. Boyer is listed at 6’7 and has good length and can block shots and stay out of foul trouble when he’s locked in and making smart decisions. He can finish plays around the basket and collect rebounds and get up the floor.
Miles Cole, 6’8, PF/C, 2020, Shawnee Mission North
A strong, powerful presence inside who controls the pace of the game from the inside out. He is a matchup problem on both sides of the floor and can overpower opponents with his strength and force inside He’s active, but really sets a tone on the defensive side of the floor.
Wesley Clark, 6’0, G, 2020, Shawnee Mission West
Clark has a good shake to his game, someone who can fool opponents with his hesitation and ball handling. He moves quickly after he passes and he moves around the floor well inside and then back out looking for a 3-point shot. He plays fast and makes good decisions.
Teven McKelvey, 6’1, G, 2020, Gardner-Edgerton
Also a football standout, McKelvey is a nice player who brings toughness and strength to the floor. He can rebound well for his size and has good speed. He can score when he has the open look and is a solid passer and has terrific vision on the court.
Zach Nelson, 5’11, G, 2020, Shawnee Mission North
Nelson is a smart lead guard who brings a flashy style of play to the court. He can get hot from distance and shows the creative game to find openings and get inside where he scores off the glass or by using his floater. He has a lot of tools and makes important plays on both ends. He’s aggressive on defense and has a good head on his shoulders.
