Garrett Almond, 6’1, G, 2021, Chanute
A physical guard who has that football toughness on the court. He has a strong upper body and looks to use his frame and fight for the ball and position. A hard-nosed player who brings strength to the floor and a toughness that is hard to miss. He is also a talented shooter and can get hot from the 3-point line in the corner and on the wing.
Ty Bowman, 6’5, F, 2020, Chanute
Another physical presence inside who looks to play strong defense and attack the basket. He rebounds well on both ends of the floor and is an impressive defender who does not back down from an opponent. He has terrific vision and can dominate the game from the Lowe post or hide post as he brings versatility and skills to the floor.
Ethan Jameson, 6’2, G, 2020, Labette County
A nice guard who has good size for his position and good hands. He has the ability to play well in transition and can finish plays or get to the basket and have court settings. He is an unselfish player and make strong passes and looks to place the ball in a catchable spot for his teammates. he can score for himself and shoots well when he’s confident and has an open look.
Daquon Johnson, 6’0, G, 2020, Parsons
Also a football standout for Parsons, Johnson is a wiry and athletic athlete who shows a lot of bounce and poise. He can handle the ball for himself and looks to get his teammates involved and feed the ball inside to the post. He can also score and does so well, but values unselfish play and teamwork.
Tariq Logan, 5’11, G, 2021, Field Kindley
one of the more underrated guards in his class, Logan has great speed and nice handles and can position himself to get inside and score against any opponent. He has a great shot from outside a nice rhythm and a combination of moves to keep defenders guessing.
Ezekiel Lyons, 6’0, G, 2020, Parsons
Another standout on the football field from Parsons, Lyons is an intelligent player who can create with a ball in his hands and also connect from distance. He has a soft, smooth jumper and has the mechanics 2A shooting down. He is a good passer and has good vision and is also aggressive on defense.
