Steele Chapman, 6’1, PG, 2020, Campus
A talented point guard prospect, Campus senior Steele Chapman has established himself as one of the state’s top lead guards in the senior class. He has terrific speed and quickness with the ball, has good vision and looks to set up his teammates, but can also score when necessary. He has a smooth left handed shooting stroke and is at his best pulling up off the dribble in the mid-range. Chapman holds an offer from Friends and Southwestern College.
Ladell Clemons, 6’1, G, 2020, Derby
Clemons is a solid ball handler and a do-everything point guard who does whatever it takes to help his team win, bringing hustle, intensity and a willingness to get on the floor for loose balls or play physical defense. Clemons works hard at the defensive end, teams with fellow senior Tre Washington to provide solid ball handling and can break down a defense off the bounce.
Keegan Harrod, 5’10, PG, 2021, Maize
Keegan Keegan Harrod is poised for a breakout season after waiting his turn behind a deep and talented senior class. Harrod is lightening quick and can create plays off the bounce for himself and others. He recently excelled at the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo in Kansas City where he showed off his all-around game.
Devon Junghans, 5’10, G, 2021, Salina South
An honorable mention All-ACVT selection, Junghans has taken his game to new heights this summer playing with SSA Elite. Known for his big motor, lightening fast style of play and intense defense, Junghans showed this summer he can also score the ball, shoot the 3 and knock down the mid-range shot. He averaged 10.7 points, 4.4 assists last season and is poised for a huge junior season.
Tre Washington, 5’10, G, 2020, Derby
Also a football standout, Washington is a tough, defensive minded point guard for Derby who can lock up an opposing guard and force mistakes. He is a solid ball handler, can knock down open shots and looks to get into the paint. He was the Panthers second-leading scorer last season averaging 12.6 points along with three rebounds and two assists. Washington has drawn some football recruiting interest and is likely to pursue a college football career.
