AVCTL Division 3 Teams
Augustana (18-7, 6-4), Buhler (6-14, 3-6), El Dorado (7-13, 3-6), McPherson (15-6, 9-1), Winfield (2-18, 0-9)
Max Alexander, 6’0, PG, 2021, Buhler
A transfer from McPherson, Alexander is an impressive prospect who shows a high ceiling and a high basketball IQ. Alexander played up with Kansas Pray N Play 17U showcasing his understanding for the game and his athleticism and skills with and without the ball. He is a timely defensive presence along the perimeter and has the ability to get to the basket as well as knock down mid-range jumpers and 3-pointers against high level competition.
Zach Davidson, 6’7, F, 2020, Augusta
Davison put together a big offseason playing with NLHA 17U squad, using his size and mobility to make an impact in the summer’s up-and-down style of play. He has the strength and physicality to play on the block and the footwork and soft touch to score quickly when he’s targeted. Davidson has shown improvement with his transition play and defensive presence along the perimeter as well as his shooting away from the basket.
Jaren Jackson, 6’0, G, 2020, Augusta
A first-team All-League selection last season, Jackson is an athletic prospect who will find a lot of opponents game plan to slow him down. Jackson is an extremely active player who can find his way to the basket, get hot from distance all while making those around him a little better. He’s poised for another impactful season as he looks to use his quickness on both sides of the floor.
Cody Stufflebean, 6’4, F, 2020, McPherson
Also a football standout, Stufflebean was a first-team All-League selection last season who understands how to use his frame and all-around physicality in a positive fashion. Stufflebean is an athletic player who has solid speed and agility in heavy contact situations. He is a good rebounder, defensive big in the paint and can get on the board in a variety of ways.
Myles Thompson, 6’5, F, 2020, Buhler
A Valley Center performer a season ago, Thompson gives Buhler a productive player on both sides of the floor. He has the handles needed to operate in open space and the size and strength to get inside and score off the glass. He runs the floor well and his team usually benefits from his transition decisions with and without the ball.
