Andale (18-3, 9-0)
Key losses: Mason Fairchild (6’5, F), Bart Neville (6’2, G), Ethan Baalman (6’1, G)
Armed with one of the state’s top returning guards in Easton Hunter, Andale is poised for another big season as the Indians return a well-rounded roster. Andale will be looking to point guard Baron Biermann and forward Cole Landers for big seasons in 2019-20 to help spread keep defenses honest around Hunter.
Clearwater (7-13, 3-6)
Key losses: NA
Clearwater returns essentially its entire varsity roster from last season and figure to be led by a strong 2021 class. The Indians will likely lean on returning guard Drake Beatty, an all-conference selection last year, for senior leadership and will look to a juniors Jake Wellington, Dalen Ankerholz, Tanner Cash, Zach Trotter and others for production this year.
Mulvane (6-16, 3-7)
Key losses: Jeb Herrman (6’4, F).
Despite coming off a tough 6-16 season in 2018-19, Mulvane appears to feature a balanced and experienced roster in 2019-2020, one that is capable of a breakthrough season. They will be led by 6’0 senior guard Gage Gerlach and 5’11 junior guard Trey Abasolo, both of whom were all-conference performers last season. Mix in a strong sophomore class and the Wildcats appear poised for a strong season.
Rose Hill (13-8, 6-3)
Key losses: Dalton Rapp, Konner Barron
The Rockets lose a pair of standout seniors in Dalton Rapp and Konner Barron. Rapp averaged 13.1 points and 6.7 rebounds last season while Barron averaged 10 points and 6.6 rebounds. However, Rose Hill returns one of the league’s top performers in Koby Campbell who put together a big state line last season, averaging 18 points, 6 rebounds and 3.5 assists and is poised for an equally big season in 2019-20. The key for the Rockets this season will be getting increased production from several other performers who will be looking to step into much bigger varsity roles.
Wellington (4-16, 2-8)
Key losses: De’Andre Washington (5’10, G), Joe Ybarra (5’11, G), Brayden Higginbothom (6’3, G/F).
Wellington losses several key performers from a 2-8 league team last season, including guard De’Andre Washington and others. They will be looking to returning all-conference performer Tanner Meyer this season for production as well as several other key seniors, including football standout Silas Popplewell and others.
Wichita Collegiate (11-10, 5-3)
Key losses: Gabe Fisher (6’5, F).
Collegiate will have to replace 2019 forward Gabe Fisher, a well-rounded inside-out forward who provided production and versatility last season, but the Spartans will have one of the state’s top players in 2022 wing Gradey Dick, an athletic 6’6 Division I prospect who already holds several high major offers, Mix in 6’8 2021 forward Cole Thornton, an all-conference performer last season, and the Spartans appear poised to challenge for a league title and perhaps more in 2019-20.
