PLAYER OF THE YEAR – Tyrese Hunter
Hunter played alongside some talented, college-bound seniors last season. Now, it’s his show to run. The aggressive, super-athletic combo guard averaged a team-best 14.8 points and 4.1 assists per game last season. Likely moving his way into the top five of the class of 2021 player rankings this season, Hunter holds scholarship offers from Texas A&M, DePaul, and a host of mid-major programs.
BREAKOUT PLAYER – Quentin Bolton
One of the fastest-rising players in the state, Bolton will be a tough matchup for anybody this season. The 6-foot-5 wing/forward is a terrific pull-up jump shooter that can flat out go to work in isolation settings. A guy you just like to get the ball to and get out of his way, Bolton averaged 12.9 ppg as a sophomore, but has put in the work to see those numbers go way up this season.
SURPRISE PLAYER – Ronald Kirk
As a sophomore, Kirk averaged six points and three rebounds per game. Kirk showed some flashes with some big games last season, including 20 points against Whitefish Bay and 19 versus the The Prairie School.
