Caleb Turner (2020 Aloha)
Turner is Aloha’s returning leading scorer from last year and the senior figures to be the top offensive threat in 2019-20 as well. The 6-foot-1 combo guard only participated in drills but showed a nice touch from the perimeter and the ability to create off the dribble and finish. He’s playing football for the first time this year and has added some strength to his frame that will benefit him this upcoming year.
James Wilcoxen (2020 Aloha)
Wilcoxen is a pure athlete – last year in his first time running track he captured the Metro League hurdles titles. At 6-foot-4 with some length, he was creating havoc on the defensive end all night in open gym and used his athleticism to finish buckets around the hoop. Having only really played organized ball for a couple of years, his court sense is still in progress but there’s no question Wilcoxen’s quickness and motor will benefit the team.
Sidney Jones (2022 Aloha)
Jones immediately caught our eye as he was the tallest guy in the gym, standing around 6-foot-4. His body is still very much in development but according to head coach David Saultz, Jones has been working on building some muscle. His future will be more in the post but he has some good ball skills with his handle and ability to make shots. He played JV last season as a freshman and could very well swing varsity this year.
Jeremy Lund (2020 Tualatin)
Lund is a 6-foot-5 post who appeared to be a no-frills, blue-collar bring your lunch pail to work kind of guy. He worked hard inside, especially on the offensive glass, but also showed some good touch on his shot especially in the mid-range/elbow area. He won’t win any sprints but Lund ran the floor fairly well and stuck with his defensive assignments.
Carson Denning (2021 Tualatin)
Denning is an intriguing wing prospect that we’d seen a little this summer with Jordan Team Fly 16U. He’s extremely long and lanky and at about 6-foot-6 we estimate, actually plays out on the wing. Denning has a very nice touch on his shot out to three-point range and actually prefers to play out on the perimeter rather than inside. Denning is prettty athletic as he can finish at the rim and he should be one to watch at Tualatin.
Seth Feik (2021 Tualatin)
Feik transfers in from Tualatin from Wilsonville and should see some time in the backcourt. The 5-foot-10 junior is well-built physically and the lefty was solid in running the point when given the opportunity, finding the open man and knocking down jumpers when he was left open.
