One of the biggest stories in the state was the fact that 2020 Guard Justin Wright committed to NCCU and is now official off the boards. Wright has been outstanding during his time at Farmville Central HS and will be a player that can get things done at NCCU early on, he has a gift for scoring the ball and knows how to win games.
New Mexico picked up a commitment from Millbrook HS 2020 Guard Nolan Dorsey who has seen his stock rise in a major way over the past year. He’s a pass first PG that understands how to convert difficult passes and brings a nice amount of leadership to his squad.
High Point University continues to do a great job of locking down in-state prospects as they picked up another outstanding in-state player in Grimsley HS & Greensboro Warriors Wing Ahmil Flowers. We saw Flowers put together some impressive performances during the spring and summer, using his skillset and athleticism to make plays.
Team Trezz and Southwest Edgecombe HS 2020 Guard Keishon Porter will be making his official college decision as he narrowed his list down to: Radford, Hampton and Texas A&M. Porter is a freakish athlete that locks in on both ends of the floor, he has consistently improved and will only get better as time goes on.
Word of God 2020 Forward Isaiah Todd has cut his list down to two schools as he will be choosing between Michigan and Kansas. Whichever school lands this young man probably won’t have him for long as he is the type of talent that could end up hearing his name called on draft night sooner than later.
Holly Springs & Garner Road 2020 Forward Kaleb Scott made his commitment to Georgia State at the start of the month. Scott is a stronger player that can play some SF or PF depending on the situation, and has shown some impressive athletic traits.
