Just over one week ago was the inaugural Northside Basketball Media Day, hosted at Northwest Presbyterian Church. Pace Head Coach Sharman White and Holy Innocents’ Head Coach Cabral Huff set the event up, giving the private school teams from the area a chance to get together and provide a bit of a preview of the 2019-2020 season. I sat down with Pace, Holy Innocents’, and Mount Vernon to discuss their outlook on the upcoming season. All 3 are unique teams that are heading into the winter with the right mentality.

Starting with Holy Innocents’, Cabral Huff is entering his 1st season as the leader of the Bears program. They have a good group of talent and are taking on some high-level teams to prepare themselves for a state playoff run. When asked about their schedule, Coach Huff started off by saying “Adversity breeds champions. We really want to take the early season schedule to help us understand how to play in tight games, how to trust one another on the floor when the games
