One of the many reasons why basketball is such a great game is because it’s a skill driven game, based on constant development. Players spend hours in the gym refining that skill just hoping to maximize every ounce of their potential. That potential is higher for some. In this article, PH takes a look at a few Nevada players in the class of 2023 with high ceilings.

Darnell Fizer 6'4 SG Silverado – Fizer has the frame, the skills, and the pedigree to be an elite player. The son of former Chicago Bull and Iowa St legend Marcus Fizer, he has a solid understanding of the game. Has the chance to be a special player. Here's why his ceiling excites me.

  1. Signature Skill – Worst case scenario for Fizer, 20 years from now he'll be a guy averaging 50 a game in a rec league somewhere. He is a devastating shooter, that displays textbook form. That skill is currently in high demand.
  2. Prototypical size to be an elite 3 and D guy – They pay guys good money to knock down 3's and lock up perimeter players. At 6'4 and with good agility, Fizer could effectively defend 3 positions.
