Nate’s Saturday Morning Notes from the Seize the Season Jamboree (Free)
Yesterday morning I traveled to Shakopee High School to take in the 1st annual Seize the Season Jamboree which was sponsored by Prep Hoops. Here are some notes I gathered from the great future of youth basketball in Minnesota.
Most Interesting Team I Watched
The nod for the most fun/interesting team I watched was the Phelps/Minnesota Falcons from the class of 2027. They started every game with as a team singing the song “We Ready” at half court and it brought a fun element to what was already an awesome event. On the court, they were a quick, elusive team that hustled hard on every play in the games I watched.
The Atmosphere
Nine courts of basketball all going on at once may be overwhelming to some outside the game of basketball but to me, it was an absolute blast. I enjoyed watching teams from all over the state that came together for the Pre-Season Jamboree in Shakopee. It was great to see the class of 2028 to 2024 to make a huge impact in the Minnesota basketball community.
Nate’s True Hustle Team
Yesterday was not a matter of evaluation or analysis of players, it was embracing youth basketball and watching the future of this sport blossom at many different levels. Here are the players I watched that were diving for loose balls, hustling up and down the court, and making basketball fun for everyone like it always has been and will be going forward in Minnesota.
