Profile:
Williams is a small forward that transferred over to Simeon from St. Laurence for his senior year. He is a versatile wing that can play multiple perimeter positions on both ends of the floor. Makes an impact with the ball in hands as a playmaker and scorer. Shined with Meanstreets as a complimentary player in the EYBL playing well off their array of guards.
Odds to Win:
25/1
Why He Can Win:
Simeon’s top senior is always going to be in the mix here. The best move he could have made from a development standpoint as well as recognition was transferring to the Wolverines program. Williams will have a ton of opportunities to play big games against elite level competition in Chicago, central Illinois at Pontiac, and southern Illinois in shootouts to leave his mark.
Obstacles to Win:
Doesn’t have the name recognition across the state coming into the season. He will also have to share the spotlight with stud junior Ahamad Bynum who is also going to be in the mix for this award over the next two seasons.
