1) Jalen Cook 6’0 PG Walker (LSU Commit)

Putting Cook back at the top spot of the 2020 class might be a bit of a controversial decision, but in all honesty, there hasn’t been a tighter race for the best player of a class since Prep Hoops Louisiana began doing rankings for the 2016 class. A few months ago, I wrote an article breaking down Cook’s game, and I received some flack for being too tough on him, but that film breakdown was the basis of where I began to put Cook back on top. It showed me that he has an elite skill that he will be able to contribute from day one, which is his shooting ability. I am also confident that he can continue to build on his shooting ability and after a couple of years in college, will be one of the premier shot makers in the country. I just can’t get the Carson Edwards comparison out of my head. As a result, I can see the path for Jalen Cook to be the best player on an NCAA championship contender, something I struggle to see with Beekman.
