They excelled with the ball in their hands, making plays for their team. We will look at some of these floor generals. These players may or may not technically be ‘point guards’, but they played like leaders on the perimeter.
Jaxon Childers (2023, 5’9″, Benzie Central)
Childers can flat out shoot. He fires the ball with confidence. Childers can handle the ball against pressure as well. He has the look of a solid floor leader.
Nate Childers (2022, 5’10”, Benzie Central)
The elder of Childers’ looked very comfortable with the ball in his hands. He was excellent swinging the ball and not letting it stick in anyone’s hands. Childers seemed to know which passes were high percentage.
Tristan Feighner (2021, 6’0″, Leslie)
Feighner made some terrific passes in traffic. He’s going to dish out a ton of assists over the next four years. Feighner has the potential to be a force off a dribble drive.
Duriel Mask (2021, 5’9″, Carrollton)
Mask was quick as quick could be. This really made him an asset with the ball in his hands. Mask forced thecdefense to move and react.
Freddie McIntosh (2020, 5’11”, Saginaw)
McIntosh is one of the top senior point guards in Michigan. He has a college ready build and knows how to use it. McIntosh can singlehandedly break pressure and has range beyond the three point line.
Brady Titus (2022, 5’10”, Tri-Unity Christian)
Titus is one of the top prospects in Michigan’s class of 2022. He forces turnovers on defense and is excellent with the ball in his hands in transition.
Jacob Tomsich (2020, 6’1″, Midland Dow)
Tomsich is really developing an all around game. He played well both on and off the ball and showed that he could create his own look at the rim.
