Smithfield-Selma High 2021 Omareon Hinton: A high energy player that seemed to only get better as the day went on. He doesn’t try to do things outside of his skillset but made quite a few plays to help his team.
Smithfield- Selma 2022 Guard Jalen Hinton: One of the smaller guards that we saw on the day but has impressive speed and quick hands. Some more attributes that we liked about him was his smooth shooting stroke and the fact that always keeps his head up to try and make pitch ahead plays.
Clayton HS 2021 Guard Javonte Long: We are fully expecting him to have an outstanding season this year as he put in a nice amount of time working on his craft over the summer. One thing that you have to like about his game is the intensity that he brings on both ends of the floor. Defensively he’s picking up his man full court to apply pressure and turnovers, offensively he’s pushing the pace which forces defenders to work on that end of the floor.
Smithfield Selma High School 2021 Guard Dylan Gottuso: Really like what this young man brings to the table and the IQ he displayed throughout the day. He’s a sharp shooter that really excels in catch and shoot situations but he also showed that he’s an unselfish player as well. There were quite a few plays where he found teammates and dropped some on point passes to teammates for easy buckets.
Princeton HS 2021 Tyrese Whitley: One of the “high motor” players that we saw throughout the day, he gave it everything he had during drill work and games. He battles inside the paint and doesn’t mind playing with physicality, he’s the type of player that takes matchups personally and won’t allow himself to be outworked.
