1. Will Felton, Cavaliers
The Cavaliers took their first loss in Fall League to the Warriors but it didn’t slow down 2021 forward Will Felton, as he still finished with 30 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks in the loss. He’s producing 37.9 points, 21.3 rebounds, 4.0 blocks and 3.0 assists per game with the final weeks of the season approaching. He ranks first in points and rebounds per game and has been one of the best two-way threats on the floor this season. It’s hard to foresee Felton losing the top performer award of the fall season with just one game remaining in the regular season before the playoffs begin.
2. Brandon Huffstetler, Heat
Brandon Huffstetler has had a strong performance through the first eight games of the season. He’s averaging 32.1 points per contest on 53.3 percent shooting from behind the arc. Huffstetler had a big shooting week from 3-point land in Week 4 making eight against the Nuggets and six against the Celtics on his way to two 30+ point performances. He’s finding his rhythm just in time for the high school season and has proven to be one of the top shooters in the 2021 class in North Carolina.
3. A.J. Thompson, Nets
A.J. Thompson has been a 2020 prospect that’s made tons of noise in the J.D. Lewis Fall League for the Nets. Thompson is an emerging combo guard that can score on all three levels, rebound the ball and facilitate with precision off the bounce. He’s managed to average 37.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and six assists across four appearances in the regular season with the final week approaching. He ranks second in the league in scoring and fifth in rebounds per contest. He put up 36 points and 17 rebounds along with five made 3-pointers in a big win over the Spurs in Week 4. As he returns in time for the playoffs, he’s a player to keep an eye on.
4. B.J. Keith, Warriors
B.J. Keith is a new face on the Top 10 Performers list after his solid week of production this past Sunday. The 2021 point guard is putting up 23.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 4.3 steals per contest through his four appearances during the fall regular season. He posted a season-best 33 points against the Cavaliers in a 74-68 victory, while shooting 3-of-4 from 3-point land and 72.2 percent from the field on the game. He’s a name to keep an eye on as the playoffs begin this week.
5. Ben Hines, Cavaliers
Ben Hines sees his rating move down a bit after shooting 9-of-21 against the Warriors in the team’s first loss of the season. Hines’ streak of 30+ points ended in the second game of Week 4 with a 21-point outing against the Warriors. Hines still managed to make four 3-pointers in the game but he wasn’t his usual effective self due to defensive pressure, something he’ll adjust with going down the road. The 2021 shooting guard is still putting up 35.4 points, 9.1 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.0 steals per contest in the regular season with one more game left on the schedule.
6. Julien King, Spurs
Julien King is another new face on the top performers list in the 2022 class. King had his first tough shooting week against the Nets going 3-for-11 from the floor and 1-of-6 from behind the arc while posting 11 points in their second loss of the regular season. He’s still got room to grow with the playoffs around the corner to redeem himself. Look for him to pick his play up at the lead guard spot.
7. Will Otto, Cavaliers
2023 guard Will Otto is another player on the Cavaliers roster that saw his status fall on the top performers list after Week 4. He’s still a young prospect, so it’s nothing major in his game. He’s still producing 26.9 points, 11.5 assists and 7.6 rebounds at the point guard spot and with his worst shooting game of the fall league season behind him, he’s certain to bounce back with the playoffs on the horizon.
8. Evan Ashe, Rockets
Evan Ashe is slowly emerging as a solid prospect in the 2022 class with his ability to attack the rim and create off the dribble. He’s putting up 23.4 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game at the shooting guard position in fall league play. He put up a season-best 31 points on 12-of-22 shooting against the Nuggets in a close loss. As the playoffs approach, look for his game to elevate a few notches.
9. Dylan Wiggins, Nets
Dylan Wiggins was missing in action in Week 4 but his return just in time for the playoffs is much-needed for a Nets team in need of help in the frontcourt. Wiggins has still managed to remain second in the league in rebounds per game at 18.3 per contest despite his hiatus. His return should be helpful alongside A.J. Thompson in the frontcourt.
10. Owen Woznichak, Heat
Owen Woznichak is a 2021 prospect that’s slowly figuring out how to impact the game. He’s a strong scorer and rebounder that’s averaging 17.0 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 blocks per game for the Heat. He currently ranks fourth in the league in rebounds per game and does well to fill the void wherever his team needs it on the floor. He’s another player to watch for the Heat, who are in line for a playoff spot.
