1. The Cavaliers remain the unbeaten favorites
The early favorites to win the Fall League Championship are Cavaliers led by 2023 guard Will Otto, 2021 guard Ben Hines and 2021 forward Will Felton. Otto poured in 32 points in their second of two victories of the day while making six 3-pointers from behind the arc. Felton put up 42 points all inside the paint. He controlled the paint for both games and continues to dominate two weeks in.
Hines and Felton combined for 69 points with Hines draining eight 3-pointers to the tune of 42 points in a route of the Nuggets. Hines made 14 total 3-pointers in Week 2. Through four games, the Cavaliers have won just one game by single-digits (9 points) and by more than 25 points in the other three victories.
2. Spurs remain unbeaten as well
The Spurs are another squad that’s remained unbeaten through two weeks of fall league at the J.D. Lewis Center. They were led by 2022 guard Julien King and 2021 forward Broderick Ellis Jr. in their first win of the day. King put up 26 points, scoring on all three levels while Ellis put in 24 points, showing off his ability to be aggressive and get to the rim. They won their second game of the day over to Heat 84-79 to enter Week 3 with a record of 4-0.
3. Another team, another dominant paint presence: Dylan Wiggins
The Nets were without A.J. Thompson in Week 2 but 2022 forward Dylan Wiggins had quite the battle with 2021 forward Tre Morgan and the Celtics. In the end, Wiggins finished with 30 points, showing off his the same dominance he showed in summer league play. He’s a solid competitor that battles on both ends and does well to make his presence felt on both ends. Morgan finished with 26 points and got to the rim as well.
