Demarion Shanklin 6’2″ Jennings: The smooth lefty 2021 guard was getting buckets from all over the gym in a victory over Parkway South. He displayed the ability to score at all three levels without really trying to force the issue. His game is built around the mid-range jumper, but he can get into the lane and score at the rim while also creating his own space to knock down 3-pointers.
K.J. Lee 6’6″ Fort Zumwalt North: The long and lanky 2021 guard is really coming into his own as he is fast emerging into one of the top prospects in the class. His jumper from 3-point range is butter as he knocked down nine triples in the game that I watched. His perimeter shooting is well documented, but he is also shown more confidence in his ability to make plays off the dribble as a scorer and passer.
Jalen Hampton 6’5″ University City: The bouncy 2021 forward was active and dominant in the Lions’ two victories on the day. He was explosive around the rim with his ability to throw down dunks and corral offensive rebounds. He is tough to stop off the dribble which makes him a matchup problem against opposing forwards and he loves to get out in the transition game.
Ryan Campbell 6’3″ Lafayette: The talented 2020 combo guard was easily the best passer that I watched during the day. The Maryville commit is an excellent scoring threat, but he played a very unselfish game as he dropped several dimes to open teammates. His size and court vision made for some very entertaining passing. He handles the ball with confidence and he has the ability to knock down 3-pointers or get to the basket.
Adam Sommer 6’3″ Parkway South: The 2020 guard was one of the top scoring threats in the Fall League and he put up some big numbers in the Patriots’ two games on Sunday. He has an excellent stroke from 3-point range and he can knock them down off the catch or on the dribble pull-up. He is strong enough to play through contact to score at the rim and he has a nice step-back mid-range jumper.
Keashon Petty 5’9″ Parkway North: The 2021 point guard displayed some electric quickness as he consistently got to the basket and scored at the rim through traffic. He really excelled in the open court game as he pushed the tempo on offense and created turnovers on defense. He also beat double teams at found his way to the rim for buckets.
