1. 2020 guard Wy’kise Allen, South Granville
Wy’Kise Allen showed off his ability to score and rebound the ball consistently. He showed he can score on all three levels as well, working the defense off the dribble and getting to the rim whenever he wanted. Allen has developed as a confident slasher over the past few months and has embraced his role. He gets rebounds and gets out on the break quickly to catch the defense off guard.
2. 2021 forward Dontrez Styles, Kinston
Dontrez Styles is an imposing force on the perimeter and on the wing at 6-foot-7 with his ability to create off the catch and off the dribbble. Styles plays well above the rim and has a knack for slashing to the rim and finishing with authority. His floor game was on full display as well as he showed off his mid-range jumper.
3. 2020 forward Trey Pittman, Greenfield School
Trey Pittman was an aggressive prospect all throughout Fab40 Camp. He showed off his ability to score on all three levels and made an added effort to crash the boards on both ends. He’s showing he can b more physical when necessary on the floor and didn’t back down from many o his matchups. He posted 16 points and seven rebounds in the championship game.
4. 2020 forward Tylan Green, Sanderson
Tylan Green is an athletic forward prospect that showed signs of being a force on both ends. On defense, he flies around to block shots and alter shots. Offensively, he runs the floor well to get dunks on the break. He fights in the paint for rebounds and is slowly learning how to create his own shot off the dribble.
5. 2020 combo guard Isaac Parson, Kinston
Isaac Parson is a combo guard that’s put on a noticeable amount of muscle over the past few months. It certainly helped in getting to the rim and finishing. Even then, Parson is an even more confident scorer from behind the arc when the ball in his hands now. He showed off his ability to break down the defense and make things happen at the Fab40 Camp.
6. 2021 guard Omarion Blount, Washington
Omarion Blount was a bouncy guard despite his height at 6-foot-1. He had nice length and athleticism that he used well to get to the rim and finish above it quite often. When he wasn’t in the paint, he was creating off the dribble on the perimeter where he showed off his stroke from 3-point land. He didn’t hesitate to make plays on both ends.
7. 2020 guard Garrett McRae, Scotland County
Garrett McRae was a strong guard that played both ends with good activity. McRae scored on all three levels on offense while forcing turnovers on the defensive end. He’s got a nice build for his size and elevates to the rim well. He’s due for a strong senior campaign in 2019-20.
8. 2020 point guard Isaiah Bridges, Westover
Isaiah Bridges was an impressive lead guard that did a little bit of everything to make an impact on the floor. Bridges used his strength and quickness to make his presence felt on both ends. He pressured the basketball on defense and pushed the pace often on the break.
9. 2021 Darius Jewell, Westover
Darius Jewell was a true competitor at the Fab40 Camp and played a lot bigger than his listed height at 5-foot-9. Jewell didn’t hesitate to put the ball on the floor and create, knocking down a number of 3-pointers deep from 3-point land. On defense, he makes his presence felt as well. He’s another prospect to keep an eye on at Westover.
10. 2021 guard Demetrius Polk, E.E. Smith
Demetrius Polk was an impressive lead guard at the Fab40 Camp this past weekend. He’s a quick downhill driver that has nice strength and used it well to finish in traffic. Polk was a fearless slasher in getting by his defender and getting to the rim. He turned heads with his play on numerous occasions.
