Westover 2021 Darius Jewell: We love what he brings to the table for his team as he is a deep three point threat every time he steps on the court. He displayed his NBA range shooting as well as the ability to beat players off the dribble, will be a big part of the Westover HS scoring attack.
Kinston HS 2020 Guard Chance Minott: A Downhill type of guard, he is constantly putting pressure on the defense as he pushes the pace and uses his speed to get to the spots he wants. Scoring is not much of an issue for him and he is also a very gifted passer, you have to love the enthusiasm and toughness he plays with every game.
EE Smith HS 2021 Guard Demetrius Polk Jr: His game continues to grow and he will be a player that his high school squad will look to as a leader this season. Scoring the ball in various ways through all types of contact and defensive pressure was one of the things we saw from him, he looked confident and doesn’t get rattled very often.
Cape Fear Christian 2020 Guard Jamael Carter: Does a nice job of balancing the opportunities he has to score the ball with getting his teammates involved. Has increased the speed on his first step but has always been a consistent shooter from three point land, be on the lookout for him to have a big senior year.
Scotland County 2020 Guard Garrett Mcrae: It’s a bit confusing as to how he doesn’t have more offers than what he has at this point, this young man can flat out play. Quick first step, strong upper body, gifted finishing around the basket, and knock down shooting from deep, and let’s not forget a 3.9 GPA, he has all the things that a college would love from a PG.
Living Water Christian 2020 Guard Malachi Borders: A legit combo guard as he can be a knock down shooter off the ball at the SG spot or a floor general at the PG spot. We love the confidence he plays with and how unselfish of a player that he is, he will definitely be a huge part of LWC success this upcoming season.
Washington HS 2020 Guard Rashod Smith: This will be his first season at Washington HS but we expect nothing but great things from him. He has good ball handling and passing skills as well as the ability to score the ball at a nice rate, D2 programs have shown some interest and he will be a nice pickup for a team that needs a PG that can bring multiple positive attributes to the table.
