St. Marks School of Texas
Noah Shelby displayed grade A shooting marks all weekend. His performance leads him to 19 points where he shot 5 for 5 from the three point line. On the second day, he drilled home two more threes while showing off more of his paint skills. Shelby’s defensive IQ late in the game switching onto an opponent and shading them into a turnover.
Harrison Ingram showed his competitive streak. He looked poised to grab every rebound and for five straight possessions, he grabbed every defensive rebound. A three-level scorer with the right to call himself a 5-star recruit. The 2021 recruit looked great against 2020 consensus top 10 recruit Greg Brown.
Highland Park High School
Junior Jack Pease is a quick lead guard that uses his bursts to change pace. He has a strong handle not wasting much time to get into moves and shot creation. His shooting stroke is best displayed off ball where he shoots a high percentage a foot or two behind the high school line.
Junior Jacob Hager is an unconscious shooter with size. On catch and shoot opportunities it doesn’t matter how close the defender is he lets it fly with confidence.
Austin Vandergrift High School
Senior Gabe Rayer is a do it all forward with a penchant for raking and making a lot of threes. He’s a proven defender in space going head to head with coveted 5 and 4-star players. He stuck with everyone he had to guard to quick sharpshooting guard Noah Shelby to Harrison Ingram.
Greg Brown’s otherworldly athleticism flourished once again. The senior’s help side defense makes him one of the best shot blockers in the state and possibly the country. The dunks and putbacks were all there as well as a more advanced back to the basket game equipped with a turnaround fade-away over the right shoulder.
