1. 2020 guard Ricky Council IV, Southern Durham
Ricky Council IV was impressive as ever at Big Shots Raleigh with his ability to handle the basketball, get to the rim and shoot the basketball. He made five 3-pointers and put together a scoring average of 22.5 points per contest during the showcase games. It’s still surprising he doesn’t have more offers from high-major programs.
2. 2020 forward Nick Farrar, Apex Friendship
NC State commit Nick Farrar was a force per usual at Big Shots Raleigh, showing off why he’s headed to the ACC. He battled in the paint and extended the floor to the 3-point line, averaging 20 points per contest. He’s due for a strong senior campaign before hitting the next level.
3. 2021 forward Will Felton, Millbrook
Will Felton showed why he’s considered to be the top big man in the 2021 class with his performance at Big Shots Raleigh. He produced 23.5 points per game and even showed off his extended range from 3 by draining two 3-pointers this past weekend. He continues to impress with his versatile skillset and set to do big things with Millbrook this season.
4. 2020 guard Jake Bertolini-Felice, Trinity (Raleigh)
Jake Bertolini-Felice was another impressive player at Big Shots Raleigh with his ability to create off the catch and off the bounce. His confidence has grown a ton over the past few seasons and he’s set to make waves in his final season before heading off to Gettysburg College.
5. 2021 forward Jayvon Mercer, East Wake
Jayvon Mercer turned heads at Big Shots Raleigh with his versatility. He battled down low in the paint, knocked down 3-pointers with ease and showed off his passion for securing rebounds on both ends. At 6-foot-5 and with nice length, he’s a prospect due to get some looks from college programs.
6. 2021 guard Brady Rankin, Hoggard
Brady Rankin was impressive shooting the basketball and slashing to the rim at Big Shots Raleigh. Rankin made a total of seven 3-pointers while averaging 17.5 points per contest during the showcase games, showing off his ability to score whenever needed. He’s also put on a noticeable amount of muscle.
7. 2021 guard Ben Hines, Garner Magnet
Ben Hines was another sharpshooter that was impressive at Big Shots Raleigh. He opened the showcase games by putting up 20 points and draining five 3-pointers. He’s a prospect that will make you pay if you leave him open. College coaches should get eyes on him over at Garner Magnet.
8. 2021 wing Toby Harris, Durham Academy
Toby Harris is a prospect that continues to grow as his confidence on the floor does. He put together games of 18 points (all 3-pointers) and 32 points (two 3-pointers), showing off his ability to score on all three levels at 6-foot-5. As he improves his strength, he’ll be one to watch over the next few seasons.
9. 2021 forward Tucker Morgan, Northwood
Tucker Morgan was an active force on the scoring and rebounding front at Big Shots Raleigh. Morgan didn’t hesitate to crash the glass when the ball wasn’t in his hands and when he did touch the ball, he was driving to the basket for layups. He produced 21.5 points per contest across the two showcase games he appeared in.
10. 2022 guard Kheni Briggs, A.L. Brown
Kheni Briggs was impressive with his ability to defend the basketball with physicality. While he tended to be over-aggressive at times, it was fun to see as it spoke to his competitive nature. In both games, he guarded top prospects Ricky Council IV and Nick Farrar when he faced them. He’s got a solid skillset and has room to develop on both ends.
